"It is so easy to waste our lives: our days, our hours, our minutes.
It is so easy to take for granted the color of the azaleas,
the sheen of the limestone on Fifth Avenue,
the color of our kid's eyes,
the way the melody in a symphony rises and falls and disappears and rises again.
It is so easy to exist instead of live."

Concord Thursday night farmers market

We made it a family night out on a warm Thursday night at the Todos Santos park in downtown Concord. There is live music, fresh farmers market food, and surprisingly, the small town becomes quite a hotspot. It's tough to find a small patch of grass for a picnic. It's nice to just get some fresh air after working in an office all day.  The kids tire themselves out running around which is a great thing on a thursday night.. We had some amazing fish tacos and rayna had her favorite nutella crepes (hence the ball of energy you see in the video). They both ate a whole bunch of fruits, plums especially, since they are in season. I bought a bunch of kale, cauliflower, garlic, eggplant to cook on the weekends. That's the only time I actually do cook because I get home pretty late during the week. Trader Joes frozen food or Asian noodles is the usual dinner for these guys. We all look forward to good food on the weekends.
